Program Overview and Background

Since it’s conception RVM has trained over 500 volunteers who have served over 2,000 youth. We have also trained over 400 individuals from other organizations who wish to utilize the methodologies and techniques that we offer to impact their constituencies. RVM’s traumainformed care, strengthbased program model was cultivated under the guidance of a retired youth & family therapist who serves as a mentor trainer and Mentor Support Specialist.

Program Services

RVM provides nocost youth services through group (circle) mentoring and onetoone mentoring relationships. RVM also provides a multimodal Mentoring Essentials training for volunteers and community members that includes education on Adverse Childhood Experience concepts (ACE), bias, youth development modules, strengthbased communication techniques, trauma informed care
practices and scenario exercises. RVM facilitates a nocost Rising Resilient Summer Camp for youth ages 917.

Target Population

RVM serves youth between the ages of 9 and 24 who are identified by school and social service partners as “high needs.” We currently provide mentored circles to Title 1 schools in the Medford, Eagle Point and PhoenixTalent School Districts, and serve youth throughout Jackson County in onetoone matches, some of whom are currently in the DHS system.
