Services as an Affiliate of MENTOR National
- In areas with a density of mentoring programs, we help optimize the number of youth being reached by engaging stakeholders across the mentoring field in coordinating and streamlining their efforts.
- In areas that lack enough mentoring providers, we support existing programs in expanding their services by strengthening their fundraising and helping to identify and implement innovative strategies for increased mentoring.
- We pay attention to regional differences in program opportunities which will be a factor in coordinating programming and services.
- We help build statewide mentoring partnerships with California’s three public higher education systems and statewide or regional K-12 infrastructures.
- We provide training and support to improve mentoring programs’ operational effectiveness (particularly for small programs) including topics such as: onboarding new staff and board members; diversity, equity, and inclusion; volunteer management and AmeriCorps usage; fundraising; and collecting and leveraging data.
