2019 Youth Mentoring Research Symposium

We are thrilled to announce the 2019 Youth Mentoring Research Symposium, a full day gathering for the research community on youth mentoring research, will be held in Washington, D.C. on January 30, 2019. The Symposium is sponsored by the National Mentoring Resource Center, a project of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Click here to view the tentative agenda.

The Symposium offers both new and experienced researchers in the mentoring, youth development, education, health, and related fields an opportunity to come together to discuss the state of the research on key mentoring topics that impact public policy and philanthropy and to learn from each other about cutting edge frameworks and methodologies for conducting stronger research on mentoring programs and relationships.

The format of the Symposium will be didactic as well as interactive, using a combination of panel presentations, facilitated discussions, and workshops led by experienced mentoring researchers who can share key insights regarding methodological strategies and mentoring frameworks.

This event is free to attend-there is no registration fee. However, all participants are expected to attend the full day in-person. Furthermore, space is limited and registration will be on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to participate in the Symposium, please click here to complete the registration form. Please direct any other inquiries to Dr. Fasika Alem at This email address is being protected from spambots.
