Register for the 2020 Youth Mentoring Research Symposium

The 2020 Youth Mentoring Research Symposium, a full day gathering to be held in Washington, D.C. will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. The Symposium is sponsored by the National Mentoring Resource Center, a project of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. This year's theme is "Enhancing Mentoring Program Effectiveness."

The Symposium offers both new and experienced researchers in the mentoring, youth development, education, health, and related fields an opportunity to come together to discuss the state of the research on key mentoring topics that impact public policy and philanthropy and to learn from each other about cutting edge frameworks and methodologies for conducting stronger research on mentoring programs and relationships. Although geared toward researchers, practitioners interested in attending the Symposium are also welcome.

The format of the Symposium will be didactic as well as interactive. The morning will feature a plenary keynote with follow-up panel and small group discussion. The afternoon will include workshops led by experienced mentoring researchers in which they share cutting-edge methods and findings on a range of critically important topics for the field. This event is free to attend-there is no registration fee. However, all participants are expected to attend the full day in-person. Furthermore, space is limited and registration will be on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to participate in the Symposium, please complete the registration form available here.
