This toolkit compiles a directory of articles, resources, and program materials to assist service providers in developing quality programming for the newcomer youth in their communities. It is based on the “Positive Youth Development” approach, which emphasizes helping kids grow into successful and mature adults rather than just preventing problem behaviors.
Goals:
To equip service providers with resources to develop Positive Youth Development-based programming for immigrant and refugee youth.
Target Population/Eligibility of Target Sites:
Programs serving immigrant and refugee youth.
Corresponding Elements of Effective Practice:
