This guidebook offers information that can be used at the individual school or district levels to inform the design and implementation of school-based mentoring program. Information on mentor and student recruitment, participant training, making and monitoring matches, and developing relevant mentoring activities for longer and stronger relationships is included. Sample forms that can help with operationalizing the program are also included.
Goals:
Aid in the development of effective school-based mentoring programs. It is specifically focused on program structure and implementation, rather than the mentoring relationship.
Target Population/Eligibility of Target Sites:
Intended for schools or nonprofits who will be delivering program services in schools.
