Research Alert: Opportunity to Participate in Research Study on Youth Voice

Do you work for or with an agency that wants to include youth and young adult voice in agency decision-making? The National Center for Mental Health and Juvenile Justice (NCMHJJ), is distributing a survey aimed at helping programs assess youth and young adult voice. This survey is collecting data for a research study that will be pilot testing an Agency–Level Assessment of Youth and Young Adult Voice. The goal of this survey is to measure organizational support for the meaningful participation of young people in agency–level advising and decision making.

This study is being conducted by researchers at Portland State University in collaboration with Youth M.O.V.E. National. Your participation will help determine whether this survey is an accurate assessment tool for agencies to use if they wish to measure their support for the inclusion of youth and young adult voice.

To register, you’ll need at least two people from your organization, one adult who works at or with your organization, and it is recommended that another be a young person at least 15 years old who has received services from your organization or one that serves a similar population. The survey is estimated to take 20-30 minutes. There is no official registration close date, but the deadline is approaching soon. Learn more here.
